Sid and Jenny Johnson have been managing ranch and farm operations sustainably since 1975. Together they have brought life and texture to private and guest ranches throughout the West.

Sid Johnson’s environmentally-sensitive approach to land management has joined him together with land owners interested in improving their bottom line without negatively affecting their surrounding ecosystems.

"I have great respect for Sid’s wide-ranging knowledge and skills, strong work ethic, ability to select and manage a first rate team of employees, impeccable personal integrity and careful stewardship of our finances. Additionally, Sid’s warm, outgoing manner has endeared him to me, my family and our guests." - Bob Haas

Sid’s work has included stream bank restoration, wetlands creation and upland bird management. He has enhanced wildlife habitat and implemented wildfire prevention measures and erosion control.

Beyond his ranch work, Sid is dedicated to preserving natural areas. He is a founding member of the Mt. Shasta-area McCloud Watershed Council and of the Blackfoot Coalition in Montana, which strives to protect the Big Blackfoot River.

Jenny Reeves Johnson is an expert horse and dog handler as well as an artist and a teacher. Her career has led her from running an art department at a ranch camp in New Mexico to teaching art on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming to running a stable in Florida. She wrangled and then managed a small guest ranch in the Gros Ventre range in Wyoming, one of the most remote ranches in the country.

Jenny takes great satisfaction in working as a liaison between ranch owners and their guests. With Sid and on her own, Jenny leads horseback rides (and offers lessons), hikes, cross-country skiing expeditions, and canoe tours. She is a master bread maker and excels at managing house staff.

Jenny has facilitated community art projects, including a large community mural in Mt. Shasta

Sid and Jenny have a daughter, Jessi, who attends California State University, Chico.
